Innovative Outsourcing was founded in 1995 by Atlanta native Cindi Filer. Cindi had years of corporate experience in finance and human resources when she left the full-time workforce in 1993 to stay home with her first child. Within months she was approached by former employers to contract with them on a project basis, enabling her to consult from home. As her clients’ needs increased she became aware of a gap in part-time staffing options. Cindi began outsourcing many of the jobs and Filer Services was formed.

Several years later, the company was renamed Innovative Outsourcing to reflect the unique strategy of linking long-term, part-time, highly qualified employees with clients seeking competent professionals.
